What drives you in your life? Is it family? Is it your friends? Is it your children or wanting to provide the best for them? Is it your job and the opportunities that can come moving up the corporate ladder? Or is it even as simple as being able to provide food and clothes for your family?
Having that drive helps you get one step closer to achieving your goals and overall happiness. Life will always throw of curve balls at you in your personal and work life. It’s how we take those curve balls, not necessarily hit them out of the park, but when to hit them to make an impact (or play) in our lives. (Not really sure where the baseball analogy came from but you get my drift)
Recently, I had to look close in the mirror and figure out “what is it that makes me happy and drives me?” As of right now, the first thing that comes to mind is family, friends, fellowship, and seeing others happy. I grew up with a dad that loved people and loved entertaining, hosting, and cooking for ALL of his friends and family. I clearly remember as a child all of the gatherings we had, everyone he knew ( at least it felt like it) was at our house enjoying themselves. Cars parked all the way down the street, dining table filled with food that my parents cooked, and kids playing everywhere. That is what drove my dad to be a loving parent and a friend to all. He always enjoyed being around family and friends.
This is a characteristic that I have inherited proudly and is a big part of why I do what I do. Seeing people happy and having fun is something that drives me. Whether it is my wife and kids, friends, or customers and their guests. Seeing people smile and laughing really fills my heart, as sappy as it sounds. In my personal home life, seeing my wife and kids laugh and cutting up always gives me so much joy. It really drives me to do my best so they can have the best. In the photo booth world, nothing makes me happier than others having a great time, appreciating the entertainment, and overall smiles and laughs. This pushes me to provide the best customer service and innovation to keep people talking and entertained.
Everyone has something that drives them and affects them differently. So what drives you in your personal or work life?
